FAQ's and Cancellation Policy
 

Cancellation Policy: CVWTT requires a credit card to hold your reservation. Your card will not be charged until the day of transportation. You may use the card on file or pay with cash or check. There is a 4% transaction fee if credit card is used. CVWTT accepts all major credit cards. CVWTT has a two-week tour cancellation policy due to advance scheduling requirements. You can expect a full refund if we receive your cancellation more than two weeks before the start of your tour. Cancellations within 14 days is a case by case refund or 50% of your total invoice.Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the start of a tour will not be refunded. From time to time, unpredictable weather may impact tour routes and outdoor stops. CVWTT reserves the right to cancel or move tours to other dates and times. We understand that some situations, including flight delays, family illnesses, weather issues, are beyond your control. In these cases, we may be able to switch your reservation to another tour time.

 

NOTE WEDDING TRANSPORTATION: CVWTT has a two month wedding cancelation policy. We understand that numbers anticipated may change closer to the wedding date; however, due to advance scheduling we need to have your vehicle selection committed two months prior to your wedding date. Cancelation within the two month window is nonrefundable.

Do you only provide transportation for winery tours?

No, Central Virginia Wine Tours & Transportation is here to provide premier transportation to your destinations including but not limited to wine tours, brew tours, distillery/cidery tours, airport pick up/drop offs, wedding shuttles, bachelor/bachelorette tours, and concert/event transportation.

When are you open and are you open for holidays?

We are open 365 days a year! Please spend your holidays celebrating knowing you have safe, reliable, and comfortable transportation.

How far in advance should I reserve my tour?

There is no set length of time to ensure availability. Saturday and holiday weekends fill up the fastest. Fall is our busiest season, followed closely by summer. Your best strategy is to fill out the Contact Form as soon as you can. If your date is close to filling up, we'll let you know so you can plan accordingly.

From where are you able to pick us up?

We're happy to pick you up from your home or hotel or airbnb, anywhere in the region you are touring. (50 mile radius)

How many guests can you accommodate?

Within our fleet: Two 6 passenger Cadillac Escalades, One 14 passenger MiniBus, Two 20 passenger Limousine Buses and One 24 passenger Shuttle Bus with table and social seating inside. We are anticipating the arrival of another 14 passenger and 24 passenger at the start of 2023! You can do any combinations of vehicles.

Do you charge per person or per vehicle?

The rates we provide are for 6 hours tours minimum for the entire vehicle.

Do the vehicles have water bottles?

Yes, CVWTT provides complimentary cooler, ice, and water bottles for all passengers upon request.

Are you fully licensed and insured?

Yes, Through the DMV, we are fully licensed and insured. Contract Passenger Carrier #889. As well as employee screened drivers through Foley Carrier Services.

How many vineyards, breweries, distilleries, or cideries can we visit in one day?

The tour is up to your pace. CVWTT recommends 3-5 places to visit during 1 six hour tour.

 

Do you make reservations for the tours?

Yes, Most places now require these reservations for groups of 7 or more but don’t worry for groups 7 or more CVWTT will place reservations prior to your tour to ensure availability for you and your guests.

Is lunch provided?

CVWTT will suggest places to stop for lunch. We always recommend to balance alcohol with some food. There is always an option of bringing your own lunch to picnic as well as stop to pick up picnic lunches at some locations.

 

Does the tour include tasting passes?

Guests staying at one of the Inns of Montpelier will have free wine tasting passes(pending COVID19); however, if you are not staying at one of the Inns, the tour price does not include the tasting fees due to ABC Laws & Regulations.

How do I make a reservation?

You can email centralvirginiawinetours@gmail.com and your reservation will be confirmed through email or call 540-809-3494 and Stephen will help get you reserved. 

Are you allowed to bring food on the tours to eat in the vehicles?

Yes, but please be mindful that the vehicles are used daily and cleaned nightly.

Is gratuity included in quote?

No, for tours CVWTT leaves gratuity to the discretion of the passengers/guests.

Yes, for weddings and corporate events it is an auto gratuity of 18%. 

Do you provide wedding shuttles?

Yes of course! Weddings are one of our favorites! Please see our wedding transportation section. We can be found on Borrowed and Blue and Wedding Wire as well.

What is your inclement weather policy?

Rain or shine the tour will take place. Snow and ice in the forecast are dependent on whether the vineyards and breweries are open, as well road accessibility. We reserve the right to cancel a tour if weather is inclement. Please contact CVWTT as soon as you may have a question about the weather affecting your transportation. We will more than likely have already been in touch with you.

What is your cancellation policy?
